The Nokia 6 (2018) is now more widely available in the United States. So far, it was only offered by Walmart, but that changes now as other major retailers including Amazon and B&H have started stocking it.
The device is listed on the website of both retailers, although only B&H listing says it's in stock. Pricing remains the same at around $270. A quick look at Walmart's website also reveals 'out of stock' status. So B&H is currently the only option if you're planning to purchase the phone.

Nokia is prepping a press event in Beijing on May 16 in honor of its Nokia X6 smartphone. It was rumored that the Nokia X would come on April 27 but that was proven to be the start of a 6 day conference that Nokia is holding in China - from April 27 to May 2 - to promote its entire new lineup of smartphones.
The Nokia X6 is one of those smartphones. The X6 has been displayed to the general press, which is how we got some clear hands-on photos of it, but the device is locked so we can't gauge its specs.

Now Nokia has issued an official press invite, a screenshot taken from the Nokia X6, teasing the time and place of its unveil - May 16 in Beijing.
The date coincides with OnePlus' global reveal of the OnePlus 6 and is a day earlier than its Chinese reveal. Both devices will be the first from their manufacturer to carry a notch - coincidence? Yes, probably.
Back to the Nokia X6 - so far we know nothing of the specs. What we know is all we've seen from the phone - it will have a 19:9 screen on the front, a glass back housing a dual camera and fingerprint scanner and a metal frame sitting in between the glass.

It’s the only phone in HMD’s lineup with a taller than 16:9 aspect ratio, though this might change very soon with the launch of the Nokia X6. Either way, the X6 is rumored to sit below the Nokia 7 plus, so when it comes to capabilities it’s this or the Nokia 8 Sirocco.

Nokia is giving away free Google Home Minis with the purchase of a Nokia 6 (2018) (a.k.a. 6.1), Nokia 7 plus, and Nokia 8 Scirocco in the UK and Ireland. To redeem the smart speaker, you need to buy one of the three phones and hit Nokia up with the IMEI between May 2 and June 14.

A new update has started rolling out to the Nokia 2 smartphone. Currently hitting units in India, it's a security update that brings along Android patch for the month of April.
There's currently no information on what other major changes (if any) are included in the update.
Most other Nokia-branded smartphones from HMD have already received the April update, so it's good that the Nokia 2 has finally started getting it as well. Over the air roll outs usually happen in phases, so be patient if the notification hasn't popped up on your unit yet.
HMD has brought the Nokia 6 (2018) Stateside through Walmart. It's available on pre-order now for $276.17 and will begin shipping on Tuesday, April 24.
Just as a refresher, the Nokia 6 (2018) brings a few improvements over the first Nokia 6 - it ups the processing prowess with the use of a Snapdragon 630 (over the 430 of the previous gen), it moves the fingerprint scanner from the front to the back and comes in a flashier body with orange accents on the side, the camera and the fingerprint scanner.
Just like its predecessor, the Nokia 6 (2018) will be exclusive to Carphone Warehouse in the UK. The updated model is set to launch tomorrow at a price of £230 SIM-free (the 2017 model is currently going for £200).
Despite CW’s exclusivity among retailers, the new Nokia 6 should also be available through Nokia.com.
The Netherlands should get the 6 in May at a price of €280 for the 32 GB model (and just €20 more for the 64 GB one). Some stores are already accepting pre-orders. MediaMarkt may have it as early as this Friday, PDAshop claims that units will be available on March 23, Belsimpel says “in two weeks”. PS. All three stores will throw in a free Chromecast worth €40.

HMD Global delivered another shot of nostalgia at the MWC by bringing back the beloved Sirocco brand. Introduced with Snapdragon 835, the Nokia 8 Sirocco was set to arrive in Europe at the beginning of April for €749. Chinese users are a bit luckier though, as the phone is already up for grabs there.
The Nokia 8 Sirocco is offered by the Chinese online retailer JD.com at the sweet price of CNY4,699 or around $750 (€600). The phone arrives with Android Oreo out of the box, but lacks Google services as is the case with most phones in China.
The latest addition to the Nokia portfolio comes with dual cameras on the back - both cams are 12 MP but one sensor has an f/1.75 lens in front, while the other sits behind f/2.6 aperture. It takes great photos, as we established in our hands-on. Video recording can go up to 4K with 360-degree Nokia OZO audio that brings a better immersive sound.
Nokia 8 Sirocco and its dual camera

Nokia has launched the Nokia 1 smartphone in India. It is Nokia's first phone based on Google's new Android Oreo (Go Edition) platform. The phone is priced at INR 5499 ($85) and will be available starting Wednesday, March 28. The Xpress-on covers will be sold separately in April for INR 450 ($7) each, and will be available in azure/gray or yellow/pink.
Reliance Jio customers will get a cashback of INR 2200 ($34) and also 60GB of data.
The Nokia 1 is Nokia's cheapest smartphone yet based on the Android Oreo (Go Edition) platform. Go Edition comes with Google's suite of optimized apps for services like Gmail, Assistant, Search, Maps and YouTube that consume less data and have smaller file sizes. The Play Store is also optimized to show you lite version of other apps. The OS itself takes up less space compared to standard version of Android Oreo and has data saving features built-in.
As for the Nokia 1 itself, it's a fairly barebones device with a 4.5-inch, 854x480 resolution IPS display, MediaTek MT6737 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. The phone also has a very basic 5MP rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front camera.
The Nokia 1, along with the whole Android Oreo (Go Edition), comes across as a tone deaf effort, especially in markets like India, which already has a great variety of capable affordable devices. For example, the Xiaomi Redmi 5A costs INR 5999, which is slightly more than the price of the Nokia 1 but has significantly better hardware and runs full version of Android rather than the nerfed Go Edition.
Go Edition only works if you're paying considerably less, almost feature phone prices and still getting a good smartphone experience. If you're paying as much as a much capable and fully featured Android smartphone then you're better off just buying that.
Nokia is now selling phones and accessories in India directly through its website. It lists feature and smartphones as well as accessories and offers free shipping, secure payments and a 10-day return policy.
The site lists all of Nokia's phones though not all of them are available for purchase. Only the Nokia 5, Nokia 3, Nokia 2 and Nokia 8 are eligible at this point.
On the accessory side of things there are a few listed but none are in stock so you can't technically buy anything.
Do people like the Nokia 7 plus? People in China certainly do, the first batch of phones sold out in 5 minutes. Here’s how it went down – the virtual shop doors opened this morning at 10:07am and 5 minutes later all available units were gone. The phone sold for CNY 2,300 for the 4GB/64GB version and CNY 2,500 for the 6GB/64GB version (that’s €239 and €318 respectively).
There will be another batch available in about a week – on March 15 at 10:07am. Chances are that the new batch will be gone just as quickly. Of course, neither HMD nor the stores will say how many phones are in a batch.
Nokia 7 plus sold out in minutes
As for people not in China, we’ll have to wait until April. The Nokia 7 plus is set to cost €400 in Europe (and it doesn’t look like the Old Continent will get the 6GB RAM version). While you wait, you can live vicariously through our hands-on.
Nokia has announced a number of devices at the MWC last week including the re-booted classic: the Nokia 8110 4G, the Nokia 7 Plus, and the Nokia 8 Sirocco. Still, Nokia isn’t done announcing phones for the year as we’re not even past Q1 yet.
A report from NokiaPowerUser claims that the Nokia 8 Pro isn’t going to be the only Snapdragon 845-powered Nokia smartphone in 2018. The Nokia 8 Pro will be joined by a Nokia 9 powered by the same CPU.
Nokia 8 Sirocco
There’s also word that the Nokia 9 will have the “best in-class” smartphone camera. The report mentions that the Nokia 9 could have a camera even more powerful and innovative than the Nokia 8 Pro’s with its supposed Penta-lens setup.
There is rumor of the Nokia 9 featuring an in-display fingerprint scanner and a display that may be larger than the supposed Nokia 8 Pro’s. Of course, none of this yet confirmed. The Nokia 9 may also be quite an expensive phone as its price has been compared to that of the Samsung Galaxy S9+.
Based on the report, we can gather that the Nokia 8 Pro might be announced sometime in the summer while the Nokia 9 may launch later, sometime in September – perhaps in time for IFA.
Samsung announced the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ and the duo snatched two of the top three places right away. The first dual-camera Redmi Note phone kept its high presence at second.
Our popularity contest has the Asus Zenfone 5z at fourth. The Taiwanese manufacturer announced the phone at MWC 2018 with a notch at the display's forehead and a dual camera on the back. The top 5 is wrapped up by the past year’s flagship Galaxy S8.
HMD Global plays the nostalgia tone at the Congress in Barcelona. Although Nokia 8110 4G feature phone surely looked promising, the Nokia 8 Sirocco gathered massive interest in the chart.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, also known as Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus in China, makes company to the Xiaomi Mi A1 at the lower part of the table. Another MWC-announced phone, the Nokia 7 Plus, sits at ninth and the chart is wrapped up by the midranger Galaxy J7 Pro.
